thankful...

with thanksgiving tomorrow, i feel that it is time to share in the virtual world something that peter and i are most thankful for.

Baby Agneta

yes, it's baby agneta. with going through multiple miscarriages this year, we are so thankful for this little person growing inside of me. I am almost 10 weeks and the doctor felt that it would be okay to tell everyone since we saw a healthy heartbeat last week.

it has been challenging to say the least. i have the common symptoms of nausea (only threw up once), soreness, and feeling tired. there are good days and bad days, but i know at the end of the day it will be worth it.

so tomorrow peter and i will reflect on this year and be thankful for everything from our health, to economic stablilty, to the hardships, and the celebration of this life that we are waiting to arrive in this world.

peace.

vacation

2008 has been a tough year for Peter and I, but we are managing. We are hoping that June-December will be "easy" and we will have a chance to reflect on the pain of the first half of the year and move on. Saying that we are starting it out right and taking a much needed vacation to Bermuda, a cruise more specifically. We are so excited and can't wait to wake up in the morning and not have to worry about work, doctor's appointments, the house, just wake up and enjoy each other.

In other news, my sister came to visit over Memorial Day weekend. Holy crap, she is as tall as I am, but way skinnier. Much how I was in middle school, but she is fortunate enough to not be awkward looking. She's going to be a beautiful teenager and Peter and I will have to beat the boys down with a stick...or gun. :)

I'm getting back into reading a lot again. I've read a few Jodi Picolt books, loved them. Re-read some Jane Austen, Persuasion. And now I'm reading A Prayer for Owen Meaney. I hope to finish it up before vaca so I can read some chick lit while on vacation.

I decided to take the summer off from Grad school. Just past of attempting to make the rest of this year "easy." Work is going to be very busy for me this summer, so I figured why add additional stress at this time. I've been taking classes for almost a year straight and I'm ready for a 10 week break. I'll fall a little behind on my goal of when I want to complete my MBA, but I think my sanity needs it.

I haven't been playing as much poker lately. Mainly due to work and school, but really I'm just trying to be home more, and act more like a real wife should, still minus the cooking and cleaning part. More just the hanging around the house part, and replacing curtains and area rugs when I get bored with the colors. But I'm enjoying myself.

Well this update has been long enough. I'd love to venture to Arkansas for a visit. I was thinking possibly homecoming, since it will be 5 years since I graduated...I know holy shit!

Hope everyone is well.

Peace.
